Terms of Service
Last updated: April 26, 2026
Quick Answer: By using SiteStats.dev you agree to a few common-sense rules: don't abuse the service, respect plan limits, pay your bill if you're on a paid plan, and accept that we provide the service "as is" without unlimited liability. You can cancel any time.
1. What do these terms cover?
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you ("you", "Customer") and SiteStats.dev ("we", "us"). They govern your access to and use of the SiteStats.dev website, dashboard, tracking script, and APIs (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
2. Who can use the Service?
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and capable of entering into a binding contract. If you are using the Service on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
3. What can I use SiteStats.dev for?
You may install the SiteStats.dev tracker on websites you own or operate, or on websites you have permission to instrument. You may use the dashboard and API to view, export, and analyze the resulting traffic data.
4. What is prohibited?
- Using the Service to track sites you do not own or operate without consent
- Attempting to inject false or fabricated tracking data
- Reverse-engineering the dashboard or API in violation of applicable law
- Reselling the Service except as permitted under the Agency plan's white-label terms
- Using the Service to host, link to, or analyze content that is illegal, defamatory, or infringing
- Probing, scanning, or testing the security of the Service without prior written consent
5. What are the plan limits?
Each plan has documented limits on the number of tracked sites, monthly pageviews, and data retention. Pageviews above your monthly limit are silently dropped until the next calendar month, or you may upgrade at any time. Limits are listed on the pricing page and may be adjusted from time to time on prospective basis.
6. How does billing work?
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance through Stripe. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. You can change plan or cancel at any time from your account settings; changes take effect immediately and we prorate any difference. Annual plans paid in advance are non-refundable except where required by law or under our refund policy.
7. Do you offer refunds?
Yes. If you are unsatisfied within the first 30 days of a paid plan, contact support@sitestats.dev and we will refund your most recent payment in full. After 30 days, refunds are issued at our discretion.
8. Can my account be terminated?
You may close your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or remain delinquent on payment after a 14-day grace period. Upon termination, your data is retained per our retention schedule and then permanently deleted.
9. Who owns my data?
You own all the analytics data we collect on your behalf, and you may export it at any time. We retain limited rights to use aggregated, de-identified data to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
10. What about disclaimers and limitation of liability?
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid to us during the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Will the Service ever change?
We continuously improve the Service. We may add, modify, or remove features, and we may revise these Terms. Material changes will be communicated by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
12. What law governs these Terms?
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which we are incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute must be brought in the courts of that jurisdiction unless local consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
13. How do I get in touch?
